If ever there was a sauce made just for fish lovers, it was Byrd House tangy tarter sauce. At the Byrd House we make our own tangy tarter sauce with our homemade mayonnaise and a few tangy ingredients.
- 1 cup homemade basic or lemon-shallot mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp. ground smoked chipolet chili pepper
- 1 tsp. dijon mustard
- 6-8 cornichons or gherkins coarsely chopped
- 1 tsp. capers
Just stir all ingredients together and chill.
